Today’s consumers are accustomed to ordering everything from dinner to diapers online or from an app, and they expect timely, convenient home delivery. So why not their prescription medication? As part of our continued drive toward providing greater convenience and choice for your plan members, CVS Health now offers same-day and one- to two-day prescription delivery options from CVS Pharmacy locations across the country. Members whose plans include Maintenance Choice All Access have the additional option of on-demand delivery. They'll receive their order within four hours, seven days a week.

How it Works*

Members place and track orders using the CVS Pharmacy app.

Consumers can request a prescription filled or refilled through the CVS Pharmacy app, or over the phone. In addition to most maintenance and acute prescription medications, they can include select general merchandise items in their order. One- to two-day delivery is available to all consumers within a 50-mile radius of a CVS Pharmacy.

These new delivery options provide even greater flexibility and access to Maintenance Choice All Access members. In addition to pick-up at CVS Pharmacy and mail service delivery, Maintenance Choice All Access members have the added convenience of on-demand delivery available within a 10-mile radius of the pharmacy and for $7, within four hours. Also, one- to two-day delivery is available without charge for these members.

Members must be at home to receive their order. Packaging is designed to preserve privacy and prevent tampering.

At CVS Pharmacy: Greater Convenience, Savings, Adherence

We’re adding these new delivery options to the list of pharmacy innovations we already offer to help patients and members manage their health needs as well as their busy lives.

ScriptSync synchronizes a member’s prescriptions to be refilled at the same time, in one easy pharmacy visit. It’s available to any patient filling three or more maintenance medications.

ScriptPath prescription management system includes labels with easy-to-understand iconography and a personalized, easy-to-follow prescription schedule providing a clear, concise dosing routine. The ScriptPath schedule is available upon request to anyone filling a prescription at CVS Pharmacy.

Real-Time Benefits enable a member, CVS pharmacist, and prescriber, to see member-specific formulary information including the cost of the prescribed drug, up to five clinically appropriate therapeutic alternatives to the prescribed medication that may be lower-cost, and the cost for each alternative.

Integrated Pharmacy Experience is an online portal that allows a patient to manage all their prescriptions filled through CVS Pharmacy with a single sign-on, making it easy to order refills, consolidate prescriptions, change delivery preferences and track orders.

Our focus with these innovations is on making prescription management easier for patients and members. We want to help overcome adherence barriers, improve condition management and thereby reduce overall costs of care for payors and their members. It’s all part of our purpose to help people on their path to better health.

On-Demand Delivery: On-demand delivery within 10 miles of store is available for most prescription drug orders, with qualifying prescription drug benefit plans, to CVS Caremark® members. For delivery within 4 hours, orders must be placed at least 4 hours before 8 pm or pharmacy close time, whichever is earlier. Delivery window is only an estimate, and may be subject to delays. Delivery is not available in Puerto Rico. Delivery may not be available at every address or from all CVS Pharmacy, CVS Pharmacy in Target and CarePlus CVS Pharmacy® locations. Delivery fees apply. Delivery of select non-prescription items is available with prescription delivery at participating locations when ordering through the CVS Pharmacy app. Delivery of non-prescription items is not available from CVS Pharmacy in Target stores. Delivery orders are charged at online prices, which may vary from store prices. Coupons, ExtraBucks® Rewards, and certain in-store and online promotions are not applicable to, and ExtraBucks Rewards cannot be earned with, delivery orders. Customer or customer’s representative must be available to receive delivery. If delivery is not successful, customer must call the store to reschedule delivery (additional delivery fees may apply). Customer must have a credit/debit card on file and may include FSA/HSA cards. FSA/HSA cards may not be used for delivery fees. Payment must be made at time of order.
