Accelerating our Mission to Transform the Health Care Experience
Our goal is to fundamentally transform the consumer health experience for the millions of Americans we interact with every day, and today we are significantly accelerating that with a planned expansion of our HealthHUB locations.
HealthHUB stores are a powerful example of how CVS Health can provide consumers with convenient, personalized and integrated access to local health care.
The first three pilot locations opened in Houston earlier this year and the customer response and engagement has been very positive. Based on the success of these locations, we plan to open HealthHUB locations in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey, and Tampa by the end of 2019, along with additional locations in Houston.
We expect to have a total of 1,500 HealthHUB locations operating by the end of 2021.
We recognize the integral role that physicians play in people’s lives. Our intention is to complement the patient-doctor relationship by working closely with all types of providers to offer more complete patient information and data, which we’ll gather through increased interactions at our HealthHUB locations.
The HealthHUB locations at CVS Pharmacy stores will:
Provide health care services in a more convenient, accessible, and customer focused manner
Be the testing ground for new pilot programs and service offerings
Help us identify the solutions that are the most effective and scalable, and roll them out more broadly
A HealthHUB is focused on helping customers get well – and stay well by offering a broader range of health care services, wellness products, trusted advice, and personalized care, all with the ease of walking right into a local CVS Pharmacy.
For customers who wish to manage their care from the palm of their hand, HealthHUB offers access to digitally enabled health and wellness apps, connected health monitors and smart devices, and technology-enhanced weight management programs, making the experience of achieving your best health easier and more achievable.

Expanded Health, Wellness Services
With personalized pharmacy support programs and expanded MinuteClinic services, HealthHUB teams are improving care for patients managing chronic conditions, with a focus on recommending next best clinical actions and driving medical cost savings.
The care concierge acts as a connection point inside the HealthHUB, focusing on customer engagement, including educating them about new service offerings, helping them navigate the in-store services and events, and connecting them to in-store providers. During the pilot phase, customers accepted help from our care concierge in more than 95 percent of recorded interactions beyond a greeting, with 60 percent resulting in engagement with a HealthHUB provider or offering.
The HealthHUB design also includes community spaces and digitally enabled offerings. Wellness rooms are available for CVS professionals and community partners to host group events, including health classes, nutritional seminars and benefits education. In addition, there are learning tables that include iPads for customers to explore health and wellness apps, as well as shop our expanded product selection on CVS.com.
Optimizing prescription therapy is key to improving outcomes for chronic conditions that drive a majority of health care spend.
