Samta Shukla, Ph.D., is a Lead Data Scientist for CVS Health. In this role, she designs end-to-end algorithmic and machine learning solutions to complex healthcare problems. These data-driven solutions provide actionable insights to improve healthcare outcomes and are often deployed on a large distributed scale. The spectrum of her work encompasses applying AI techniques towards solutions for Rx supply chain, rejection resolution for healthcare claims, and most recently for COVID-19, which involved simulating testing strategies and designing optimal vaccine-administering schedules for vulnerable populations on a national scale.
Prior to joining CVS Health, Samta completed her Ph.D. in computer systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, and holds a M.S. from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Additionally, she has also held research intern positions with IBM Research and Akamai Technologies.
